IDYLLYWILD, CALIF. — The Lemon Lily, named for its bright-yellow color like a lemon, grows in the semi-shaded forests and gardens of the San Jacinto mountain town, Idyllywild. Each summer the cheerful blossom is celebrated with a festival that includes nature walks and talks, blessing of the of the Lemon Lily, vendors selling flower-themed gifts, a toe-tapping bluegrass band and something new in 2014–Taste of Idyllwild. It takes place on June 10, launching the Lemon Lily Festival (lemonlilyfestival.com) which is held July 12 & 13, 2014.
