Memorial Flowers

Roses and lilies are two of the most popular cut flowers for Memorial Day wreaths or bouquets to place on graves or give in memory of loved ones. For those who want to experience flowers in the fields where they grow and thrive there are several events this weekend inviting the public to visit and enjoy. On May 23-25, 2015 the Russian River Rose Company hosts Memorial Weekend Tea & Memories in the Rose Garden. The final spring season closer on May 30-31 is a new “Dance Romp in the Roses”. In San Jacinto mountains this weekend the Idyllwild Wildflower & Art Festival (rivcoparks.org) May 23 & 24 at the Nature Center is more of a season opener to the upcoming Idyllwild Lemon Lily Festival in July.
