Golf fans get to see what players like Matt Kuchar (left) and Phil Mickelson (right), and Billy Horschel (center), will do against fellow top-30 players such as defending champion Patrick Reed when the world class PGA Humana Challenge tournament, now in its 56th year and annually the PGA TOUR’s first West Coast Swing event of the new year, returns to La Quinta Jan. 19-25. The 72-hole event features 156 professionals playing at the Arnold Palmer Private Course at PGA WEST, the Jack Nicklaus Private Course at PGA WEST and La Quinta Country Club.

“This is one of the strongest fields the Humana Challenge has ever had, but what stands out about it most is the variety of talented golfers who make up the field,” said Humana Challenge Executive Director/CEO Bob Marra. “We have bombers, we have sharp shooters, we have young guns and we have some of the most popular veterans.” Last year’s star-studded event launched with a concert by Tony Bennett, Bill Clinton has been a regular, and you just never know what famous people you’ll see.  Tickets to this exciting event start at $15 for professional practice rounds and are sold online at humanachallenge.com
