This weekend at the wonderful wine celebrations and festivals throughout 1,000 miles of California there are plenty of smiles, not simply because the wines for sampling are so delicious, though it’s true. The smiles come from that added boost when people know they’re doing good, helping others by contributing to the event as vendors and sponsors, or as attendees buying tickets for admission. Just in case you haven’t check out September wine calendar yet, here’s what’s going on this week:

  • FORT BRAGG: Winesong Auction and Tasting
  • LITTLE RIVER: Little River Inn’s Anderson Valley Pinot Noir Celebration
  • SAN FRANCISCO: Plate by Plate features beverages such as Grgich Hills Estate wines benefiting Project by Project.
  • AGUA DULCE: Harvest Festival
  • MOUNTAIN VIEW: Mountain View Art and Wine Festival
  • NAPA: 15th Annual Mt. Veeder Appellation Tasting
  • NEVADA CITY: Uncorked
  • NORTH LAKE TAHOE: Lake Tahoe Autumn Food and Wine Festival
  • FOLSOM: Growl, Howl and Wine
  • ESCONDIDO: Grape Stomp
