If the sound of metal crushing reminds you of your last car cruncher wreck, you best not attend a Monster Truck festival or event. Souped up, modified trucks with names like “California Kid” or “Destroyer” and tires that can mow most objects in their path do exactly that — they destroy rows of parked cars by flying through the air, then landing on and driving over them. The noise is so loud that people have called to report plane crashes, only to discover that they’re near a track where Monsters are making mincemeat of a variety of objects. At the Antelope Valley Fair in August there’s something even more destructive added to the mix, The Beast. This 10,000 horse power Jet Car will completely melt a full-sized car to the ground and promises to be a thrilling addition to this year’s Monster Truck Show. See more Monster Truck events…>
