Which Pond Skim is the best? Judges rate contestants who ski or snowboard down a hill into a pond on creativity of costumes and theatrics, while huge crowds cheer on.
What is the point?
These fun events symbolically and literally close out the ski season. Locals say this is one of their favorite festivals of the year creating an equal playing field for beginner to expert skiers who have equal chance of winning the contest and making the audience laugh.
