Watch outlandish antics as skiers and snowboarders head straight down a hill into an icy pond of water. The crowds fill up Canyon Lodge to watch.  In the past, competitors have had two ponds to skim with a strategy that went like this: you can skim Pond #1 into a second, longer pond or just skip the first pond altogether. But skipping a pond comes at a price, there will be a jump feature into Pond #2 for spring shredders willing to test their limits.

Scoring

Costume - creativity and living the costume.
Crossing style, difficultly, bail height, and splash (if you sink you may get extra points).
If you get across, that means nothing. This is all about style!
All scoring and selection of winners is solely and completely up to the judges.

After the Pond Skim teams of 6 compete in Tug-A-War contest across the artic pond. This event is also free to the first 8 teams of 6 competitors who register in the morning from 9-10:30 a.m. on the Gondola Deck. This is a single elimination style contest.

You must BE IN COSTUME at registration to secure your place = no costume, no entry. Past categories have included Best Crash and Bikini Babe. There's likely to be more exciting categories this year.

Events are not guaranteed. It is your responsibility to confirm before going.
