National Cemetery Memorial

DIXON, CALIF. — Each year before Memorial Day volunteers place flags next to grave markers at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery. On Saturday, May 23, 2015 you are invited to participate. On Memorial Day, May 25, Speaker Maura Sullivan, Assistant Secretary of Public and Intergovernmental Affairs, Washington DC and the USAF Band of the Golden West (Brass Quintet), Travis AFB are featured at a 9 a.m. program to commemorate Fallen Heroes with Military Honors and songs. The program is open to the public and is free.  Volunteers are again invited on May 26 to retrieve and clean flags for storage and future use.
