National Parks free admission returns for one last time in 2014. On November 11 the National Park Services salutes veterans, which means you can enter any national park without having to pay the admission fee. At California’s national parks the most significant savings come in some of the best places such as Yosemite National Park, Joshua Tree National Park, Sequoia Kings Canyon National Park and Lassen Volcanic National Park where gate fees can be as much as $15. In addition to getting in free at the nation’s park system you also get free admission at the National Wildlife Refuges in California — all 34 of them!
