New Year’s Celebrations: Plunges and Epiphanies

PLUNGE: Pictured (left) is Police Chief Joe Stilinovich, who wore his uniform into the Pacific Ocean on the Jan. 1, 2015 during the Polar Plunge at Seal Beach Pier.  More than 55 brave people of all ages and sizes took part in a New Year’s Day Polar Plunge with the Police Chief to raise funds for schools in Seal Beach, Rossmoor and Los Alamitos.  Read all about it!

EPHIPHANY CELEBRATION: On Sunday, Jan. 4, 2015, you are invited to a concert celebrating the Epiphany. The concert features soprano Crystal Sepulveda (right photo), and friends celebrating Christmas in song. Next, a traditional Central European blessing of the Retreat Center is offered with chalk and holy water for you to keep to bless your own home as well. Refreshments will be served.
