The launch of the Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade is always exciting — this year does not disappoint. From December 14 to 18, 2016 the 108th annual Christmas Boat Parade features nightly boat rides in the parade and tours of the Ring of Lights (homes decorated on the islands and peninsula.) On launch night look for Mickey Mouse to swing by from his official duties at Disneyland to officiate as Grand Marshal. But first, fireworks off the Newport Pier at 6:15 p.m signal the parade’s start. You won’t see fireworks again till Sunday, Dec. 18 at 9:05 p.m., ignited off the Balboa Pier to signal the end of another fantastic year.

Tall ships Lady Washington and Hawaiian Chieftain participate in the Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade December 16-18 and offer dockside tours of the vessels December 16-22.
