Newport to Ensenada
Newport Beach has more yacht clubs per capita than possibly any city in California, which means it is no surprise that when sailing & boating events take place the whole town comes out to watch. The Newport Harbor is one of the wealthiest and most luxurious places to show off your yacht or sailing vessel and this weekend it’s especially important to be looking sharp. Starting Friday the Newport to Ensenda (Mexico) race takes place with prime viewing at Inspiration Point Park in Coronal del Mar. We’ve spoken with people watching and learned that many have participated in the race, often in younger years. They bring picnic baskets, lawn chairs and an enthusiasm for this special race with a decades long tradition. This year the Balboa Fun Zone is throwing a little party for the public to enjoy on April 23, 2015. Read all about the race, or better, yet, go see it!
