SACRAMENTO, CALIF. — Eggceptional Memories is the theme of the 25th annual Northern California Egg Artists Show and Sale taking place at the Crowne Plaza – Northeast in Sacramento March 7 & 8, 2015. While eggs have doubled and sometimes tripled in price due to the 2015 California law requiring larger cages for egg-laying hens, don’t let that keep you from checking out and possibly buying ornate egg art sold at this amazing festival of eggs where fantasy comes to life. Decorated real eggshell art in styles that include Faberge, Pysanka, Filigree, Carved, Painted, Jeweled and Diorama are handmade by local, national and international talents. Egg art pieces are meant to be enjoyed long after the Easter Bunny has visited. The public is invited to this free admission event which includes optional fee-based seminars providing kits and instruction to create your own works of art. Another food used as art — the gourd!
