OAKLAND, CALIF. — Art + Soul, the city’s biggest street festival of the year, is here on August 1 & 2, 2015! Among the entertainment is Sheila E and dozens of musical acts, the 2nd annual Oaktown Throwdown BBQ competition with around 50 BBQ’ers, art vendors, community murals you can add your artistic talent to, art shows, and the incredible BANDALOOP. The aerial act based in Oakland performs spectacular aero-acrobatics dangling from places such as the historic Oakland City Hall. This breathtaking show that has appeared from the heights of the Sundial Bridge in Redding and other popular landmark structures takes the concept or art & soul to new heights. General admission is $12, heck of a deal!
