Three Art Books Capture OC Beaches

How well do you know Orange County’s northernmost beaches? Three books dedicated to Huntington Beach, Seal Beach and Sunset Beach capture iconic buildings, scenes and landmarks (including many that have disappeared) in a manner that no photograph could ever do. Artist Bill Anderson, owner of Bill Anderson Art Gallery in Sunset Beach, says the three towns along Pacific Coast Highway, the edge of the United States, are each special in their own way.

“Taking photographs is one way to record subjects, but doing a drawing or painting takes it beyond what the camera can do. As an artist I don’t paint things as they are, but with artistic license. I paint them as they could be. I am part of the painting and the viewer does the same thing as they become part of the painting through their unique interpretation of what they are seeing.” Read more..>
