Oktoberfest Celebrations Begin in California

Dust off your lederhosen and pull out that favorite dirndl for Oktoberfest. It’s a time of good cheer, great food and plenty of merriment in the Golden State where Oktoberfest didn’t get its start, but the residents know how to enjoy the festival more than any place on Earth! Dozens of cities in California are having Oktoberfest events–it doesn’t get much better than this! You can fly to Germany and spend a ton of money getting there, buying beer and saying “Javol”, or you can stay in California where you speak the language and dance the Chicken Dance over and over till you get it right.
