Outhouse Race is a Crapshoot

What’s it take to win the Outhouse Race? Great design, speed, and maneuverability have been cited, while many say winning is a crapshoot. This weekend the Conejo Valley Days hosts the annual Outhouse Races. The festival in Thousand Oaks includes a fantastic carnival, concerts, food vendors, and the big Outhouse “do”. Jokes abound as racers mount their toilet seats and teams steer their outhouses toward the toilet paper finish line. Winners get a toilet seat as trophy–functional and memorable! If you miss this out(house)-rageous competition, head for the hills for the Jumping Frog Jubilee and Calaveras County Fair next week where another Outhouse Race takes place during the rodeo. There are numerous outhouse races throughout the U.S. with the World Championship taking place in Virginia City, NV in October. Here are the outhouse race dates!
