Painting with Pride in California

  • On June 21, 2014 from 4 to 7 p.m. Placerville proudly toasts the volunteer efforts to paint historic buildings and store fronts in the charming gold rush era town once called “Hangtown”.  Main Street Matters, The “Reveal,” celebrates the buildings on Main Street that were painted as part of Benjamin Moore’s “Paint What Matters” Contest!  Entertainment, refreshments, cake and speeches are featured at this special event.
  • In Anaheim, Paint Your Heart Out, Inc. is a non-profit organization hosting volunteer events to supply a new coat of paint to old, worn houses.
  • Recently in Compton 1,000 volunteers wearing yellow shirts painted Compton High School and 13 homes in the city. Since 2006, the Compton Initiative has painted 454 homes, 300 School Buildings, 29 Church Buildings, 22 Public Spaces, 2 Medical Clinics, and 105 Murals.
