Some cities in California devote time at Council meetings to introduce shelter pets and ask the public to adopt them. At a meeting in my town a citizen asked why pets are getting so much attention and not the homeless humans. Not every pet is pampered as evidenced by the huge number of animals in rescue shelters.┬áIt’s OK to pamper pets as long as you don’t kill them with kindness by overfeeding. At Halloween it is also important to not feed pets trick or treat candy when taking them out on the town to pet parades & pet costume contests.

10 Halloween Safety Tips for Pets
