The Woodstock generation is not gone or forgotten. Of the 130 or so performers at the August 1969 concert billed as “Three Days of Peace & Music,” approx. 80% of the musicians are still around–those who have passed through the beaded curtains in the sky include Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jerry Garcia, Tom Fogerty (Creedence Clearwater Revival) Ravi Shankar, John Entwhistle & Keith Moon (The Who.) This weekend there are several events that pick up where Woodstock left off:
MENDOCINO: Enchanted Forest “offers an opportunity for every being to shine their unique light in a loving, supportive, co-creative environment.”
MARIN COUNTRY: Annual Planetary Dance for peace among people on Earth. Sunrise Ceremony atop Mt. Tamalpais.
BENBOW: Summer Arts & Music Festival among the redwoods, camping available
