Temecula Balloon and Wine Festival
When you ride a hot air balloon in Temecula there’s often a champagne toast at the end of the adventure. The pairing of hot air balloons and Temecula Valley wines is sublime. At this year’s Temecula Balloon and Wine Festival May 30-June 1, 2014, there’s plenty of wine (and beer) paired with foods to accompany rockin’ sounds. Concerts are a highlight to the event held around the placid waters of Lake Skinner. It’s a little bit of country Friday night with Justin Moore, Frankie Ballard (Helluva Life) and Tim Charron who plays “country rock with a twist of lime.” On Saturday the music is rock and Indie featuring the Gin Blossoms and other great acts. Then on Sunday the band, Warrant, performs on the Wine Stage. Though balloon rides typically don’t take place during the festival due to high demand, go early or stay late by a day and sail above the vine-covered valley in a beautiful balloon. Up, up and away!
