Porterville Iris Festival – So Purple!

On Saturday, April 28, 2012, the 15th Annual Porterville Iris Festival Parade marches through downtown Porterville, launching a day filled with foods, entertainment and the star of the show, the Purple Iris.  Free shuttle service is provided  from downtown Porterville to Sutton’s Iris Garden where guests are dazzled with brilliant flowers guaranteed to excite!  Iris Festival info, call:  (559) 784-7502, http://irisfestival.porterville.com

Home to California’s largest (80 acre) commercial Iris nursery, visitors can stroll at their leisure through 3 acre display gardens open April 1-30, 2012, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission and parking are free!
