For those lucky enough to have President’s Day — Monday Feb. 20, 2017 — off, it’s a free day so why not go FREE all the way? National Parks are offering totally free admission on that day, which equates to savings in many of California’s national parks. Favorites such as Yosemite, Sequoia-Kings Canyon, Joshua Tree and Lassen Volcanic, which all normally charge a fee, recommend you check before going as roads, weather conditions and even park capacity limits may hinder your access during Fee Free NPS Days.

  • There are 10 free admission days in 2017. After President’s Day, the next opportunity comes on April 15 & 16.
  • Many national parks are free to see throughout the year.
