Renaissance Festival Season Approaches in Sunny California

The Original Renaissance Pleasure Faire in Irwindale, Calif. is celebrating Golden Jubilee on weekends from April 7 to May 20, 2012 at Santa Fe Dam. The event offers quite a line up for Renaissance fans. You’re invited to dress up in period clothes or rent costumes on location from vendors at the festival. Highlights this year:
- Opening day & Easter Sunday on April 7 & 8, 2012
- Military Appreciation Weekend April 14 & 15, 2012. Entertainment includes Masterpiece Competition.
- Steampunk / Time Traveler Weekend April 21 & 22, 2012 includes costume contest and plein air painting.
- Swashbuckling Weekend April 28 & 29, 2012
- Find Your Fantasy Weekend May 5 & 6, 2012 with Cinco de Mayo and a special Equine visit!
- Bacchanal & Masquerade May 12 & 13, 2012 and Mother’s Day celebrating.
- Last Call! Final weekend includes Closing Day Parade. May 19 & 20, 2012
