Just when it’s time for ballerinas to be fitted for their Nutrcracker costumes (a Christmas holiday tradition at 99 out of 100 ballet companies in the state,) California Riverside Ballet dancers are preparing for a very different production. The Riverside Ghost Walk Oct. 27-28, 2017, offers four unique story-telling walking tours throughout downtown Riverside featuring the talents of dancers, writers, storytellers, actors, musicians, and vocalists who come together to produce this walking adventure.

Legend of Dalton Manor, Deadly Demons, Riverside Horror Story and Cleansing Fire make stops at some of the city’s historic spots such as the Courthouse, Mission Inn and Old County Morgue.

While ‘Thrill the World Day’ Michael Jackson tribute (thrilltheworld.com) dance participation on Oct.28 takes place in Costa Mesa, Thousand Oaks, San Jose, Vacaville, Los Angeles, San Diego, Santa Barbara and Santa Rosa, we think the Riverside ballet company has come up with an exciting, fresh presentation. It has potential to expand into other cities and places where ballet companies are willing to put themselves out there, taking it to the streets.
