When Olympic Gold Medal legends and 2017 Rose Parade Grand Marshals Greg Louganis, Janet Evans and Allyson Felix wave to cheering crowds along the Rose Parade route on Jan. 2, 2017, onlookers may feel a sense of pride. Some people in the crowd will even feel a sense of ownership, thanks to their volunteer efforts to help decorate floats in the parade!

As usual, the 5.5 mile long parade begins at 8 a.m. What’s different is that it’s not on New Year’s Day. When January 1 falls on Sunday, the event is held on Monday, January 2nd. Parade is free to see, though you can buy bleacher seating (sharpseating.com).
