With over 50 California State Park January 1, 2017 hikes on the roster, there’s plenty to celebrate on the day after the night of New Year’s Eve. First Day Hikes (now in their fifth year) range from easy 20-30 minutes walks to full day climbs for total elevations of 3,000 feet in challenging workouts with park guides. Some events invite you to bring the kids and the dogs, while others recommend no kids (unless they can handle it) and keeping the dogs at home. Don’t be a couch potato…SEE California!
