Sacramento Egg Hunt Gone Wild!

This picture of an Easter Egg Hunt wasn’t taken last weekend at the wild Easter Weekend egg hunt in Sacramento. While a well-intentioned non-profit organization in their inaugural event set out to raise money to fight human trafficking and beat the Guinness World Egg Hunt Record, their efforts fell short. They didn’t beat the Guinness Record but the sensational story grabbed national headlines over the weekend for another reason. While there were no reports of physical injuries, plenty of egos were bruised and feelings hurt over the way adults behaved. When the egg hunts began some parents became aggressive in attempts to grab as many of the 500,000 eggs as possible in hopes of winning prizes. They pushed, cursed, and took control of the egg hunt, terrorizing children and pacifist adults who just wanted their kids to have fun. Parent Michelle Rodriguez told the Sacramento Bee “It’s really ridiculous. Parents are literally pushing other people out of the way.”
