The ever changing food scene in the Bay Area sizzles with new diners, chefs and food trends. There are so many restaurants opening in San Francisco that it requires sifting through them to find the very best. If you want to know where to eat you can try sites like Yelp but insiders check places out before they are on anybody’s radar or begin showing traction on ratings websites. San Francisco Travel recently released 10 dining picks for 2016. We took their recommendations with a few modifications, adding several of the city’s classic, top-rated favorites. Here are 10 to try in 2016, starting with Ike’s Place known for sandwiches and Gary Danko, a fine dining favorite with specialties such as Glazed Oysters with Osetra Caviar and Lettuce Cream.
