The French Festival has ended and the Greek Festival completed its two-run on Aug. 2, 2015. Now, the biggest Spanish festival on the Central Coast, a five-day celebration called Old Spanish Days Fiesta, launches in Santa Barbara with a fabulous, free La Fiesta Pequena (Little Fiesta) on August 5.  Around sunset colorful spotlights illuminate the front of Old Mission Santa Barbara as costumed dancers take to the stage to perform Flamenco, Spanish classical and Mexican folklorico dances to traditional tunes of the Californios. Events taking place Aug. 5-9, 2015 include a daily mercado with a carnival, shopping, Spanish culinary options and of course, popular mixed drinks for the 21+ crowd.  Highlights of the festival include a parade on State Street, children’s parade, gala at Santa Barbara Zoo, Las Noches de Ronda Nights of Gaiety at Santa Barbara Courthouse Sunken Gardens, and a rodeo & horse show at the fairgrounds.
