Santa Maria Strawberry Festival

Santa Maria Strawberry Festival this week (Apr. 25-27, 2014) launches the berry festival season. Celebrations found in Oxnard, Galt, Watsonville, Garden Grove, Roseville and Vista all promote and pay homage to local strawberries.

In Santa Maria entertainment is family oriented with a petting zoo, hands-on exploring and the big carnival with all the latest rides.  California Carnival Company is busy setting up the midway and rides for this annual event which attracts over 66,000 visitors during its three day run.  Rides such as Strawberries, the family oriented spin ride, Scooter bumper cars, Red Barron, Roller Coaster, Texas Tornado, Ferris Wheel, Klondike Club funhouse, Tilt-A-Whirl, Super Slide, The Sizzler G-force NASA style ride, The Zipper, Century Wheel and Hammer Time classic Loop O Plane are great fun–wristbands run around $25. Admission to the fair is around $9 general admission.
