Californians have come out in force to celebrate Earth Day with special focus in 2018 on the Earth’s oceans and water bodies which make up approx. 75% of the planet’s surface.
California is lucky to have more than one aquarium offering year-round celebrating, educating and learning about the sea and its creatures. While more than 50% of residents live less than 50 miles from the Pacific Ocean, most of us don’t get a chance to see what lives within the sea. Aquariums to the rescue! More than a dozen aquariums in the state give residents & visitors opportunities to see sea life up close and personal.
SeeCalifornia.com spent Earth Day 2018 researching what’s going on at California’s aquariums to pique your interest and help you plan your next great adventure!
