- San Diego’s Museum Month takes place in February. Pick up museum card at Macy’s in San Diego area for 50% off at participating museums. 45 museums are participating in this year’s event, ranging from the USS Midway to the haunted Whaley House in Old Town. With 10 art museums, plus railroad, maritime, oceanic, space, archaeology and music museums among the options, you can visit a museum a day and still not finish seeing all the participants. - Sacramento Museum Day takes place on February 6, 2016. The 25 participating museums include subjects: railroads, history, pharmaceuticals, Maidu culture, Indians, zoo animals, automotive and the State Capitol. See sacmuseums.org
