Shopping in Arroyo Grande Village is Always a Hoot

In general, men aren’t particularly known for shopping (based on statistics of who buys things.) However, there’s one place where they really don’t mind shopping. With a 100-year old meat store that sells jerky and homemade sausages (Arroyo Grande Meat Company,) antiques stores with old record albums, ball cards and sports memorabilia, the Best Burger on the Central Coast at Old Village Grill and Doc Burnstein’s Ice Cream Lab with cones too good to be true, guys can shop (and eat) their way through the village.

You never know just what you’ll find when you drive to the Central Coast California and stop at the little village of Arroyo Grande. Some say it’s a hoot, but it’s actually a Cock-a-doodle-doo, thanks to the roosters and chickens that hang out at the Village Green. Park your car in the lot next to the gazebo and head in to Willis & Bennett (left photo) for home decor. It will get you over to the other side of the buildings on Branch Street where the food is located. Chow down, then go pick up a T-shirt that says, “Manure Movers of America”. Only in Arroyo Grande!
