Mono County Tourism has a roads alert update:

  • Tioga Pass: Yosemite National Park began snow removal on Hwy 120 inside the park this week. An opening date has not been set, but hopefully very soon.
  • Hwy 120 West: The Mono County portion of Hwy 120 (from Hwy 395 near Lee Vining opened at 5 pm on Wednesday, April 15.
  • Hwy 108 / Sonora Pass: Caltrans opened, weather permitting, beautiful Sonora PassĀ on Friday, April 17.
  • Mammoth Lakes Basin: Lake Mary Road from Tamarack Lodge up to the Lakes Basin is projected to open, weather permitting, on Saturday, April 18..
  • Reds Meadow Road: The road to Minaret Vista, Agnew Meadows, Devils Postpile, Rainbow Falls, and Reds Meadow is projected to open, weather permitting, on May 18.
  • Hwy 207 into Bodie, Hwy 120 East to Benton, Hwy 89 Monitor Pass, Virginia Lakes Road, Rock Creek Road and Hwy 158 June Lake Loop are all currently open.
  • Check current road conditions before traveling by visiting the Caltrans website or by calling 1-800-427-7623.
