If you would rather scrounge around the kids’ Easter baskets for chocolates instead of hard-boiled eggs, you may want to check out several chocolate events this weekend where gourmet sweets, including some shaped like bunnies for Easter, are served with wine. One of the premier chocolate festivals, San Francisco Chocolate Salon, takes place at Fort Mason Pavilion on March 15, 2015. This is not your ordinary chocolate event by any means. The original and premier artisan chocolate show on the West Coast includes master chocolatiers, confectioners, wineries and other culinary artisans.  On the Central Coast, Robert Hall Winery Tasting Room hosts Chocolate Pairing with Monterey Chocolate Company samples on March 14, 2015, 11a-5pm. Six days later they offer a Girl Scout Cookie Pairing on March 20. If you stay in Paso Robles area just a little bit longer you can participate in the Gourmet Cavern Tours on March 21. And last but not least is an event we happened to know about and enjoy, the Adult Easter Egg Hunt on April 4 & 5. For info, call (805) 239-1616 ext 19
