Something New

In addition to annual festivals and events this week there are some newcomers such as the Moto Beach Classic (pictured) at Bolsa Chica State Beach in Huntington Beach. They’re actually trucking in tons of dirt to create a specially built 110 x 300 ft. track to accommodate sideways flat track racing action next to the surf for the Super Hooligan race. Should be interesting.

Another new event is the Grand Opening of the Johnny Cash Trail (folsomcasharttrail.com) in Folsom on Oct. 14, 2017. The 1.2 mile segment connecting to Folsom Lake Trail will tell the story of Johnny Cash and his connection to Folsom Prison with eight larger-than-life art pieces.

Other unique and fun things to do this weekend include the opening of Auburn’s Pumpkin Nights, OC Japan Fair, LA’s Korean Festival or Taste of Italy, McCloud Apple Harvest Festival, Porterville Pioneer Days, Half Moon Bay’s Art & Pumpkin Festival and many more!
