How do you celebrate Spring? At Mission San Juan Capistrano the annual Return of the Swallows pays homage to little birds that make an incredible, hazardous journey between North and South America. Some die of starvation, exhaustion and storms and those who return to California can face habitat loss when they arrive to nest in March and April. When you see those seemingly messy birds making their mud nests around your place, have a heart and give them a break if you can.
