Squirrel Roundup in Surprise Valley is Back

Ground squirrels have a tendency to overpopulate, and in places such as Surprise Valley an annual event is held in the spring, Squirrel Roundup, where a limited number of people are allowed to hunt them. So popular is the event that the slots quickly fill up. Each year there are many disappointed families and individuals but for the few who get their applications in, their comments are always positive about the experience shared with a daughter, son, spouse or friend. They say the early bird catches the worm, while in this case the early bird may jockey a position to hunt squirrel. Here’s more info!
