Suffrage Parade in Balboa Park

Balboa Park is home to the Museum of Man, a perfect spot for the ladies of Women’s Museum of California to take to bullhorns and march. This Thursday Aug. 27, 2015 the 10th annual Suffrage Parade & Rally again honors women’s rights. Meet at the Kate Sessions (Mother of Balboa Park) statue to participate or watch. You’ll find the group carrying banners, wearing vintage early 1900s era clothes and celebrating the historic 19th Amendment to the Constitution passed in 1920. The public is invited.
