The Chair Faire in Los Alamos, CA

Many of us have heard of Los Alamos Old Days, advertised on Highway signs as you pass along I-101 on the Central Coast between Solvang and Santa Maria. But here’s a new event that caught our eye–the Chair Faire!  Hundreds of chairs, from handcrafted artisan works and antiques to a treasure from the garage, are lining the sidewalk on the main street of Los Alamos – some for show, some for sale – as a “chair-ity” for the local school. It’s flea market meets art exhibit. Games such as musical chairs are included in a day of fun. All are invited to participate or stroll the sidewalks while local shops offer hometown hospitality. Event includes a juried chair competition, art exhibits, a marketplace, live music, great eats, and games.
