Los Alamos is a small town that's been around and steeped in history for well over 100 years. It's seen a lot of transition but throughout its existence, has managed to maintain the friendly, welcoming atmosphere that make tourists want to pull off the I-101 Highway to explore. This annual festival, Los Alamos Old Days, has, for years, been announced on a road sign that gets updated and is visible for millions of motorists to see. While the organization that produces the big, annual event has been through a series of websites to promote it, that sign on the road seems to be one sure way to find out what's going on.
We have attended this event. We ate food, were entertained by old-West themed characters who we took pictures of, saw old steam engines, classic cars, shopped at vendor booths and had a good time.
