While most California theme parks are looking at the Big Game of attracting summer crowds to new rides and attractions, several are doing something special for Memorial Day remembrances.
SeeCalifornia.com scoured web pages and press info (and maybe missed an event,) but here are some meaningful, yet fun Memorial Weekend activities.
Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park:
“As a salute to our late service members who forged a path to America’s continued freedom, we invite you to join us for our Memorial Day celebration fireworks show on Sunday, May 26, 2019 at 9:30 p.m.”
Fireworks Show — Watch SeaWorld light up the sky with this spectacular display of sparkle and excitement! Show Dates: May 25, 26 and 27, 2019, 8:50 p.m. each day
California’s Great America, Santa Clara, 2019:
“To honor our guests who serve in the military, all active or retired military members will receive free admission to Great America on Saturday, Sunday and Monday of Memorial Day weekend. Just show valid ID at the ticket booths to participate in our military salute. Additionally, military members can purchase up to six tickets for family and friends for just $24 each.”
Gilroy Gardens 2019:
“To honor the military men and women for their dedication and service, all active or retired military members get free admission for themselves, and up to 6 additional tickets to the park for $30 each. One complimentary admission per ID. Tickets are valid on date of distribution only. Free Admission for Military May 25-27, July 4-7, & Nov 9-11, 2019, plus Military Any Day Discounts.”
