While most have already made their plans for Easter, there are still many who haven’t had time to focus on the details of Sunday so they’ll make it up as they go.  For procrastinators and those who just want to know what’s going on, here are a few California Easter Day celebrations!

  • Safari West Hunt for the Hare Tour & Brunch includes a safari ride through the wild animal park. If you can make it to Santa Rosa for this event, do call first. It probably will sell out.
  • For less than ordinary celebrations, Fillmore (Ventura County) train ride with Easter Lunch should provide some beautiful spring flowers along the route and maybe even a few wild bunnies running loose out in nature!
  • Easter in the Napa/Sonoma region includes wineries that have invited guests to special events such as lawn picnics, a nice touch for those who are far from home, especially.
  • Mammoth Lakes will have plenty of snow bunnies celebrating Easter this year, and you can be among them with the Easter celebration at Canyon Lodge. Hop on over, but call first to make sure there’s space–bunnies tend to populate quickly!
  • The biggest parade on the coast with the most beautiful and bodacious bonnets is the San Francisco Easter Parade and celebration taking place on Union Street. It’s a full day of fun and an annual tradition that people plan for long before the bunny comes to town.
  • Palm Springs Aerial Tramway Ride, Easter Sunrise Service and Brunch. Beautiful, awe-inspiring, amazing. There’s nothing like it! Take a look at the Thanksgiving celebration to see what it’s like up in the San Jacinto mountains.
