If you came from a loving home and hold high esteem for your worth as a human being, you may not understand why kids would live on the streets, selling themselves for basics such as food and shelter. It happens–a lot!

Children of the Night, a Van Nuys-based, privately funded non-profit organization established in 1979 to rescue America’s children from the ravages of prostitution, has rescued over 10,000 American children. Talk about changing lives! Kids who need help are even flown to the facility and are taken under the wings of professionals who have proven methods for getting children into life plans that include healthy, happy careers that the kids choose on their own. “What do you want to be when you grow up?” is one of the guiding questions asked early on.  While many of us don’t know about or are ever exposed to the dark world in which child prostitution exists, we can help the cause of helping kids.
