WeedFest
WEED, CALIF. — WeedFest 2015 isn’t a festival to cut weeds, though the event does raise money for such projects. The music and entertainment festival on June 6 features a full day of fun with 9 bands, dancing, craft brews and Korndogg the Klown. Held in Weed, a scenic city in Siskiyou County approx. 50 miles south of the Oregon border, you definitely will want to visit if you’re passing through Northern California. Recognized for iconic Mt. Shasta (an undeniable part of the landscape,) the city adopted this towering 14,000-foot landmark as their logo you’ll see on the archway as you enter town. Though Interstate 5 passes directly through the city, Weed continues to be a hidden gem that amazes travelers. The fantastic WeedFest is a fundraiser to help civic organization Weed Pride in its efforts to beautify the local landscape.
