Josh Serafin prepares one of his popular ocean-themed original art works for the La Jolla Festival of Arts June 21-22, 2014.
When you see a piece of art that resonates, you just gotta’ have it (if you can afford it.) There are many opportunities this weekend to see new art in a festival atmosphere, then decide if there’s something out there that’s right for you. The gallery experience can be a bit intimidating when a high-pressure sales person places his or her attention on you within the confines of an indoor shop, but outdoor festivals make it so easy to walk away if you want. No pressure, just fun. This weekend you’ll find close to 20 art festivals spanning the state of California from La Jolla to Temecula, San Anselmo to Los Gatos.
