Getting Wet is Part of the Fun at These Egg Hunts

The forecast with a chance of rain has altered plans for at least one of the March 24 weekend egg hunts in California. Alameda changed its Spring Egg Scramble date to March 31, 2018. So, before you go to an event it might be wise to double check and make sure the egg-citement doesn’t get rolled forward to a week later. In some cities there is even a policy of ‘rain cancels’.

But there’s one type of egg hunt where getting wet is totally expected and absolutely part of the fun. The underwater egg hunt doesn’t cancel for the wet stuff. Without water, there would be no event. Though pool egg hunts aren’t the most popular, SeeCalifornia.com thinks they rank right up their with pool pumpkin patches and hunts at Halloween.  Here are a handful of aquatic egg hunts that we’ve managed to find in California.

Pool Egg Hunts

  • El Dorado Hills Aqua Egg Hunt at El Dorado Hills Community Pool
  • El Segundo Underwater Eggstravaganza at The Plunge — bring your waterproof basket!
  • Pleasant Hill Underwater Egg Hunt at  Pleasant Hill Aquatic Park
  • Sacramento Underwater Egg Hunt at Pannell Meadowview Pool
  • San Clemente Splashtacular Pool Party with Snorkel Bunny at Aquatics Center
  • Santa Clara  Easter Pool-ooza at City Pool
