Lodi, the birth place of A&W Rootbeer, has been supplying winegrapes to wineries for generations. “Lodi is emerging in its own right as a world-class wine producing region,” says Camron King, Executive Director of the Lodi Winegrape Commission (lodiwine.com).

Lodi was recently selected as Wine Region of the Year for 2015 by Wine Enthusiast which has given out annual awards to individuals, companies, regions and organizations whose vision has impacted the wine and spirits industries. Paso Robles, Calif.,  New York State and the Rhône Valley are among previous winners. Our recommendation for your first visit is Lodi Wines & Visitor Center . It is open daily 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Location: 2545 W. Turner Road, Lodi, CA. Call: (209) 365-0621
