Memorial Wreaths Honor Vets

Dixon, Calif. — Sacramento Valley National Cemetery is one of the few National Cemeteries with 100% coverage of all gravesites with a holiday wreath in the national Wreaths Across America program. More than 15,000 wreaths decorate all the gravesites of veterans and their families resting at SVNC. The public is invited to a ceremony on Dec. 17, 2016 at 9 a.m. featuring a military band, commemorative speeches and many families & friends of veterans who have passed. The public is invited to this special event and spectacular scene which includes rows of wreaths with red holiday bows leaning on gravestones. This is one of two major events held annually at SVNC — the other takes place on Memorial Day.
